The phone is still not showing up in my skype- tools- audio. I have tried all that you mention but still no audio for the phone. The phone shows skype contacts and can dial out from it but all audio is through the computer still. I have tried the Philips UK Support line, but have not yet got the matter resolved. I will do the same, if I get a satisfactory solution to this very frustrating issue. I know its very frustrating,I have tried many things and its still not working. I think the key words here are that the usb device needs a direct input to the pc and not via a secondary usb hub on a laptop support table or similar.

I would recommend creating your own thread so that the community can best focus on your specific issue. Found this solution on an old Skype forum thread. This lets the system recognise the Voip device as a USB audio device. I think it has something to do with the way new motherboards read the onboard USB ports. Another driver download, for Windows 7 tested on Enterprise x86 SP1. Also put the Windows 7 driver for the unknown device PCI modem there. Toshiba sucks. After installing Windows 7 Enterprise x86, 1 unknown device is left on Acer Aspire
