Xbox 360 controller driver for xpadder

All will work with Windows. The wired controller is the easiest to get working with a PC. The controller comes with a USB cable for charging, so all you need do is plug one end into your PC and the other into the controller. If you are using Windows 10, it should automatically detect the controller and ready it for use. My Windows 10 installation downloaded and installed the drivers automatically. It took care of everything and the controller was ready in a few seconds. If everything goes according to plan, then you should be good to start playing without any further fuss.

To get a wireless Xbox One controller working, you will need a wireless adapter. The Xbox One should have one included, but you can buy one separately if you need to.

Plug the wireless adapter into your PC and let Windows pick it up. Windows should detect the adapter and install any drivers necessary to run it. Then hold the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on and press the button on the adapter to make it search for the controller. Press the Bind button near the top of the controller and watch the blinking light. Once it stops blinking and goes solid, the controller and adapter have paired and you should be able to use it right away.

If you have the latest Xbox One controller, you may have Bluetooth capability. The process is quite painless, considering this is Microsoft we are talking about. Hi Troy, That was an awesome guide and actually got my xpadder fully working. My main issue now is, xpadder lets my controller work as mouse and keyboard on my desktop but when I run oblivion, having set it up to buse joystick 1 AND 0 and having disabled mouse attack in the game, oblivion does not detect the controller beyond being able to move with the left stick and all four shoulder buttons making the pad rumble.

I cannot get it to work. I can confirm i am using an official controller and the default windows drivers for it. Thanks for any help.

Somehow the separate axis for the triggers is back again. Note that if you switch to the older driver you break compatibility with the Xbox One chatpad. The game simply refuses to accept any input when the Xbox One controller is connected. There is no problem with the original controller. Update 2 — Microsoft might have actually fixed this in a recent update, so this whole switching drivers thing may not be necessary any more. Perhaps the character in the game keeps moving, or your car just spins around uncontrollably.

The reason for this problem is a change Microsoft made in the pads drivers. One of the most common criticisms of the Xbox controller was how its analogue triggers behaved in older DirectInput games.

First of all, you should determine which drivers are installed for your pad. If you see both of these, then your pad is using the newer drivers.
